Glypride 4 mg Tablets contain Glimepiride, a second-generation sulfonylurea used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. Glimepiride lowers blood glucose by stimulating pancreatic β-cells to release insulin and improving insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues. It is prescribed when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate glycemic control.
