Pegstim Injection contains Pegfilgrastim, a long-acting form of filgrastim (G-CSF), used to reduce the risk of infectionin patients undergoing chemotherapy. It helps the body produce more white blood cells (neutrophils), which are essential in fighting infections, especially when the immune system is suppressed during cancer treatment.

• Prevents neutropenia (low neutrophil count) caused by chemotherapy

• Reduces the incidence of infection, such as febrile neutropenia

• Decreases the need for hospitalization and IV antibiotics

• Once-per-cycle dosing improves patient convenience

• Enhances the body's immune defense during chemotherapy

• Administered as a subcutaneous injection (under the skin)

• Given once per chemotherapy cycle, usually 24 hours after the end of chemotherapy

• Only a healthcare professional should administer this medication

• Do not shake the syringe or vial before use

• Dispose of used syringes safely in a sharps container
